It has been along weekend, and now my TV remote is broke. Damn, how did we ever get by without technology?
I went to Iowa City on Friday and I must say that was a fun experience, I met up with Adam and his girlfriend Melissa and then we went on to the Field House where JR who also happened to be up there, Fred, and his girlfriend Nicole were. Once I got there I saw Erek Hansen the starting center on the Iowa Basketball team and I tried to give him a high five but he was too tall. Oh yeah and Jeff Horner was also there, and he slapped Fred's ass while Fred was urinating in the bathroom, promptly giving Fred the pee-phobia. (He was most likely drunk I am sure) I get the pee-phobia even when Jeff Horner doesn't slap my ass buddy!
I have not been to IC in like two years and forgot how much fun it was. I used to go there all of the time. One thing I noticed about Iowa City besides the packed bars, is that everyone is always so done up and looking their best to go out. You have got tons of girls walking around downtown with skimpy shirts on, freezing while waiting to get into bars. Then you are surrounded by dudes in colored shirts with strips. People just don’t put that much effort into shit in Davenport. That can be a good thing and a bad thing. I guess it is just what you are in the mood for bar wise.
Anyway last night I stayed home and got some rest after I had worked on the house all day, but a funny thing happened none the less. So it was probably like 11pm and Emily started acting really really really weird, and she said how she had taken some ambien which is a sleep pill that her doctor gave her. Only she took 3 thinking that was how many she was suppose to take instead of one (she mixed it up with another medicine). Ambien is really strong by the way she took 10mg pills. So she starts acting really loopy telling me the words on her computer were moving and the picture of some people on her computer were starring at her and moving back an forth. Then she got up to go to the bathroom and took like one step every 30 seconds and said it felt like she was walking down hill. Then she got all crazy and started seeing people in the room, for instance she thought Shelby was in the room with us when Shelby was sleeping. So after about an hour of her being like, "are you sure we are the only two people in this room?" I had to go wake up Shelby. So Shelby and I determined that I better call the hospital or somebody to make sure it was ok to let her go to sleep, because she was like hallucinating and shit. So after I called the hospital and waited on hold for awhile for a doctor, it was determined that she would be fine. I have never seen someone act so weird though!
Anyway I need to get to bed now, I am exhausted from lugging buckets full of old plaster down two flights of stairs all day.

HAWKER - I THINK I'M IN LOVE
Hawker, This is Weber. I am starting to realize that you like all of the same bands I do. Our Lady Peace, GCB, and Matt Nathanson. That Matt Nathanson CD is an amazing CD. I know of tons of other bands that nobody else has. Many of them are good. Some of them are crappy. Maybe we should have a very business like meeting to discuss them sometime. We could make up power-point slides, find a conference room, you know, the works.April 12 2005, 16:16:50 UTC 7 years ago
Re: HAWKER - I THINK I'M IN LOVE
Yes a business like meeting would be very good. I will have to see if I can rent some office space down town for a day and I will also have to go to goodwill and buy a suit. I will make sure it is brown with patches on the elbows (I want this shit to be professional.) We can also discuss the latest trends in macroeconomics and how they effect global trade barriers. You will have to let me know of some of those bands that are some crappy, some good though!

Re: HAWKER - I THINK I'M IN LOVE
The best band you've never heard of is called Honestly. You can check them out at honestlyband.com. I have their CD if you like what you hear. I'm sure that you've heard of Ingram Hill, but if not, they are also really good. Matt Wertz is good. The Matt White Band is as well. Small Town Sleeper and July For Kings are also two of my favorite bands. There will be an exam later, so you better study up.April 14 2005, 14:17:33 UTC 7 years ago
